LEADERSHIP
Shepherds, and teachers
We are a church that believes in a plurality of leadership, made up of elders and deacons.
LEAD PASTOR
PR. DR. STEPHEN CAMPBELL

01 · PASTOR
Shepherd, father and teacher
“Me and my wife Beth were both born and raised in Texas. Since getting married over a decade ago, we have had three children. After getting an MA in Church Ministry and an MDiv at Shepherds Theological Seminary, I completed both an MA and PhD in Theology at Durham University in the UK. I now serves as the lead pastor at IBC Bonn and the Academic Director of Aquila Theological Institute.”
02 · ELDERS AND DEACONS
One table, many hands.
Our elders are men who work in a leadership capacity alongside the lead pastor in cultivating the spiritual life of the church. They are servants of God and commissioned by God to give biblical direction and spiritual oversight to the church, along with helping “shepherd the flock” of God (Acts 20:28).
It is the responsibility of the elders to make sure the ministries and direction of the church is in line with its teaching. The qualifications and responsibilities of an elder are defined in the Bible and described in our constitution.

03 · HOW WE LEAD
Accountable to the congregation, and to Christ.
We're a Baptist church, which means the members decide the big things together. Here's how that works in practice.
Plurality of Elders
No single leader holds authority alone; elders decide together and are accountable to members.
Members Meetings
Budget, elders, and major decisions are voted on by the congregation, twice a year.
Open Books
Safeguards
We are continuously working and developing policies to protect the church and its members in areas such as children’s ministry, finance and stewardship of our assets.
Finances are reported to members annually and reviewed independently.
Leadership starts with a stack of chairs.
Every team above began with someone saying "I can help." Tell us where you'd like to serve.
